Co-Founder and former creative director of Phototake Inc., a high-quality bank of stock images headquartered in New York City, Leila Sesmero caters her creative consulting and representation of artists to the media, corporations, and non-profit institutions as New Level Artists Management from New York and Paris. Her strong business experience of 30 years as a hands-on executive, breaking into new markets, networking with artists, licensing images worldwide, writing about photography, etc. helps her clients achieve significant breakthroughs.
At Phototake,Inc., Leila was also involved in sales management, media relations and international business development. She converses with clients worldwide in four languages. She has acquired, published and edited thousands of pictures for Phototake's digital photo library. She licensed copyrighted images to major book and magazine publishers, graphic designers, advertising agencies and global corporations. As a consultant, her photography interests brought her to write several book reviews for The Picture Professional, a trade magazine sponsored by ASPP. She offers marketing consultations to emerging professional artists.
She has recently branched out to the performing arts. She offers cultural programs and secures concerts for her musical network. Leila's strong cultural interests started at a very young age in Paris, France where she was born. The joyful and cosmopolitan atmosphere of the narrow cobblestone streets of Montmartre, her native neighborhood, with theaters, music, paintings, and fun restaurants gave Leila an acute aesthetic sense. She attributes her talent as a photo-editor and artists' manager to her formative years in France and Israel. As a leader in the Israeli girl scouts movement, Hatsofim, Leila was intensely involved in leading hundreds of youth in unique cultural events. After her immigration to Israel, she became a prominent member of cultural committees in Kibbutz, Kfar Rupin, Israel.
Through her piano and singing of over 20 years, Leila developed a keen interest in music. She is a member of New Amsterdam Singers, an eclectic a-cappella choir, offering amateur singing at its best in New York City.
She is also affiliated with the following organizations: American Society of Picture Professionals, North American Nature photography Association, Yonkers Animal Shelter, National Public Radio, The New Seminary, Good News Broadcast.
Leila currently resides in New York, USA. She loves traveling, rescuing abandoned animals, singing, hiking, reading and dancing. Her Interfaith Ministry leads her to open bridges between many spiritual paths. |
